2000 Ecu Code Reading

Other than using a ODB-II scanner is thare anyother way of reading the codes in a 2000 Maxima?

Any whelp would be greately appreciated.

another way to read code is to use a software program and buy an adapter that connects from your car to your laptop / computer.
