At the International Auto Show in Oklahoma City.
I was shocked to see the new Q ship at our auto show. I thought that they wouldn't be out until sometime this Fall. (They will probably be on sale then.) This car was NOT on a turntable, it was completely unlocked had access to all of it. Although, they had no power to the car. My initial impression is that Infiniti used too much Nissan switchgear. The window lifts and lock controls in particular were lifted straight from our Maximas. Also, the quality of the '02 Q just pales in comparrison to the Lexus LS 430 I saw at the show. If Infiniti can offer the Q for at least 5 grand less than a similarly equiped LS 430, they might have a good value. Especially since the Q should outperform the LS. 340 hp..wow.
Has anyone else had a hands-on-experience with the New Q45? If so, what are your thoughts?

The new Q is bad-***!! Who cares if they lifted the locks and window switches from our Maxima's?? After all, I read a quote once that said "Fit and finish is as good as the best luxury car." (talking about the Max)
i agree

I agree that the new Q is one hell of a car. I can't believe all the driving assistance it gives (new braking systems, suspension systems, luxury, etc). All that in mind, ASIDE from it being out of my price range of affordability, I can not in my right mind see myself giving Nissan another penny of my money past this Maxima I own now. I know you all say "all cars have their problems". But Nissan just does not live up to the service and customer recognition and satisfaction as they say they do. Nevertheless, it's a good car "on paper"..just wouldn't buy it.Originally posted by MaxedOut97SE

I guess here in Houston, they thought we would jump in and drive it off or something, because they had in on a turntable behind ropes!
Looks real nice though. Big improvement from the '93 Q45 I owned 2 Maximas and 1 Mustang ago

.Infiniti went through no pains to set up their car display. There was no one around to answer any questions and none of their cars were powered up to show off lighting or features. Lexus, on the other hand, had ALL of their cars hooked up to power and had no fewer than 3 people around to show off their cars. Infiniti needs to act like they are a company ready to compete with Lexus on more than just horsepower tallies. Most of the people that buy a Lexus 430 aren't going to care that the Q45 is going to be an awesome performer. Hopefully when the Q45 goes on sale it will have a more Lexus-like quality than the one I saw. The Lexus 430 is truly an amazing automobile.

Oiprocs, what do you mean when you are talking about the customer satisfaction...etc.etc...? Has your car had problems?
