I e-mailed the guy from e-bay who sells the HIDs and asked him where he got them from and etc. I tried to "scare him" and here is hes reply:

your funny... You wouldn't believe how many people
have written me saying the same thing.. SO here I go
again... Your right the brackets usually only get
broken when they're trying to be stolen. The thiefs
weren't really that good though.. They left the lights
for some reason. The insurance brought a brand new
set. So now I have these spares that I can auction
off.....lol
