I just put my S-Techs back on and forgot how rough the ride was. I got used to Eibachs and now I need to get used to Teins.

How much of a drop do the Maxspeeds give? Doesn't look like that much...

1.6/1.4 It's a very subtle drop.

I have H&Rs which is even a little bit higher then the maxspeeds and I LOVE it. Its a perfect drop, I never bottomed out too. With the 17" factory wheels with some nice A/S tires it looks HOTT

Are you using stock struts? If so, how's the ride?

i'm running MaxSpeeds on stock shocks. fine so far (about 6 months now).

if you do it though (with maxspeeds or any other name brand springs)...be prepaid to replace your shocks at some point soon.

lowering springs will kill them for sure - more quickly than they would die otherwise. can't really say how long exaclty.

i've heard of guys lasting a year or more. and others only a few weeks. all depends on your car's age, luck, etc. who knows...it's a gamble.

ride quality for me is a bit harder. i feel more of the road and bumps for sure. but not all bad. worth the drop for sure. plus, can't beat the MaxSpeed $!

check out my homepage for more pics also.

Drop is perfect. Ride quality is a little stiffer but not bad at all. I'd say quality is very near stock. I'm running Tokico struts with the Maxspeeds. It bottoms out every now and then but I was prepared for that with these New Orleans streets. The UDP feels so much better, the engine revs a lot faster and pick up is so much better. I noticed a difference right after install. I am very very happy with all recent mods. The rear sway bar tightens the suspension up nicely. Feel free to ask questions concerning install. Don't mind helping fellow .Org members.

I encountered a problem with my UDP and my stereo today. My bass will cut off for a few seconds when I'm idling a I try and turn it up a little. I might just have to upgrade my alt. and get a blue top.

while your car doesn't have the "DUMPED" look or the slammed honda civic stance.

you can definately tell it's lowered. before you lowered it, it appeared as though you had the front end jacked up. now it looks like it should have come from the factory.

i'm prolly gonna go with the new luxury teins if i can ever find a pic of them or a review from someone.

i've had the gr2's sitting in the garage for 6 months waiting to pick out the right springs and get em installed.

I've had Maxspeeds with Tokicos on for a while now (don't remember exactly) but it didn't take long for it to settle. Now you can definitely tell it's dropped. I can barely fit my hand between the stock tires and the wheel well to check my tire tread depth.

I got 'em off of E-bay who was actually an .Org member. It was like $450 shipped. It took a while before I found them.
There's no way around this area I could ever go with anything but Maxspeed's. Streets are horrible and even Interstates have huge potholes and cement settling.
