What kind of hid's do 2004 Maximas have? The other night there was one behind me and I noticed that the lights were brighter and more purple than the ones on my 2003. Sorry if this question has been asked before.

 

its the same HID bulb as our car... 2k2-2k3... but in a Projector housing... which makes a prism effect when viewed at different angles thus outputting the different colors like purple blue red etc.

 

Actually it's a D2S bulb where ours are D2R bulbs. Using D2S on reflector lens will cause glare and is only okay for projector.

 

whoops, yeah its a unshielded D2S bulb...
but you'll need projector to get those deep colors, unless you get a 8000K + bulb
