Hey gang, I found the "how to program keyfob" directions and it does not seem to be working. I replaced the batteries and that is not working either. They are both new so they should work. I have heard that if I insert/remove the key too quickly that may cause it not to enter registration mode. Can anyone offer me any help who have had success programming thier 2003 ro equiv. I35? 1. when you do in-out with the key does the car actually go into programming mode or not?
2. year/model of the keyfob and the car - if it does not match the remote will not work. The remotes are different on 00/01 and 02/03 maxima.

 

Yep they are different per year, I had 2000 one and it didn't work for my 2001 and this was working from the place where I got from. What year is you Maxima?

 

It is a 2002 i35. I bought the 2002 promotional i35 kit on ebay and was never opened. I bought a new battery for it (yes it is in correctly), and gave it a whirl with no luck. The remote is basically rectangular with 4 buttons, one is red. Lock, unlock, trunk, panic. What is the correct code/#/ID on the back on the 2002 remotes that should work for me?
