when im accelerating hard, i cant help but grind when i shift into 3rd. seems like i saw a thread earlier about this problem. im just barely over my 36k warranty, so as you can tell im a little worried something is wrong with my transmission or something. anyway, i hope someone can help me here. thanks.

 

A number of us have had this fixed under warranty, the dealer will most likely either give you a new tranny or overhaul it.

Mine was overhauled, all under warranty, they even gave me a rental since the car was in there for almost a week.

 

Try to get it fixed under the 60/60,000 powertrain warranty. Sounds like your synchronizer is worn out for 3rd gear.
