Picked up Car Today -- Bumper plugs?

Well I finally became a full member in good standing today when I picked up my used 2K2 6-spd Maxima (28K mi, $16,000, No options other than HLSD [think lower weight!]). <Insert cheering here>

The car will be registered in Michigan which does not require a front plate, but the car has one currently on it. When I removed the plate and holder I obviously have a couple holes from where the plate holder penetrated the bumper. Is there anything out there that anyone can recommend as plugs for the holes? Something that would take body colored paint would be preferred.

you can probably try some paintable ge silicone II it is normally used for bathtube sealing etc but should work well to plug the holes. it will not crack and will take the cold very well. you can get it really smooth after you squish it into the hole by wetting your finger and smoothing it out. once it starts to set dont mess with it. if you screw up just dig it out and start over again.

Get the Nissan Paint Pern with clearcoat and put it over the plug. it would be perfect.

You can buy touch up paint from your dealer, or from Courtesy Parts...they have either the brush on or the pen one....also, wild ***** sells the plugs for the front, too - $15 shipped, nice product, so if you find a comparable price elsewhere, go with him and support a fellow .org member

bumperplugs.com, Wow, do I feel like a

However, when I look at those they look tailored to the Porsche bumper opening (square) whereas the holes I have are little screw holes. Has anyone used these?

I think the bumperplugs should work in circle oppenings, but if they are small you may have to drill them out to make them bigger.

I think Ill buy a set this week and get some touch up from the Infiniti dealer. Ill let you know how it goes. Here in Cali. we have to have the front plate, but they are SOOO UGLY!

I found some hole plugs at Lowe's for mine. I think they were 3/8". I had to drill my holes out just a little bigger. My car is white so I didn't have to worry about painting them, but I've seen someone on here use the same plugs on a Grey Max and he used the touch up paint and it looked nice and clean.
