Auto uses a light sensor that tells how much ambient light there is so it can turn them on automatically when needed. On keeps them on for a few seconds and then automatically shuts them off when the car is off depending on if you have the battery safety setting on.

auto function on the stalk is for those with automatics.

it basically acts like a paddle shifter. when you want to manually shift your auto, put it in the auto position and when you want it to shift, pull back on the stalk.

I just tried it on my way to work this morning. It works great... funny thing though, when i'm in the fast lane (AKA LEFT LANE FOR THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW), everytime I want to shift, the guy in front of me realises he's going slow and begins to move over...i just get why the my high-beams flicker on though...

I assume you have. It happen to me too. I was installing new sparkplugs but I couldn't find where the sparkplugs were at, posted a silly post, got slammed and then later found out that they are under the engine cover. Thats what makes the org the ORG. Welcome to the org

you know what i hate about this function?! it's right above the parking light so when I jsut want to turn on the parking light at night..the HID turns on and then off (which reduces the life of the capsule/bulb)
or also at night when I want to turn off the HIDs...it goes through parking and then auto which causes it to turn back on again and then off

i think it should've been like this: off, parking, auto, on

this can be done by re-wiring the stalk. Just connect the wires vise-versa???

When all else fails, read the owner's manual.
