B-Pipe with stock tip

How well would a cattman b-pipe work with a stock exhaust tip on a 2001? I have a y-pipe already.

a b pipe does not include a muffler so i do not see what it would have to do with the stock tip. i would assume you are talking about a b pipe with the stock muffler? ive got a y pipe and custom b pipe with the stock muffler and its barely any difference in noise even without a resonator. its got a slightly lower tone standing outside the car but i cannot hear a difference inside.

Yeah I was talking about the muffler sorry about that. Does the stock muffler restrict the airflow? Because I have an intake and a y-pipe now.

our mufflers really are not that restrictive and even less so at wide open throttle. most replace their muffler to attain a certain sound because you wont pick up more than 1-3hp for a free flow muffler unless you are boosted. best bet for you would be to get a b pipe with or without a resonator and after that look into a udp.

remember also that most likely the cattman b-pipe is 2.5", which will connect to your stock 2.25" muffler. It will bolt up, but there is a slight bottle neck portion at that point

What would be the best way to deal with the size difference?

Besides a new muffler how could I deal with the size difference?

i do'nt really see how you can. Maybe get a muffler shop to custom made a 2.5" from the muffler to the b-pipe. It will require cutting and welding.
