New Speakers
New Speakers
Yeah I know this is probably the wrong place to post this but there are more people here. Anyway, I have a 2k max without bose and I want to upgrade my speakers. I really don't want to drop the cash on a new head unit/amp/sub, not to mention I don't want added weight, so I'm looking for a new 6 speaker system that punches pretty hard. Can anyone recommend a brand/model number for me? Also, I would prefer it to be easy to install because I'm not the most technically advanced person around. Basically popping out the old speakers and wiring up the new ones would be ideal. Thanks.
I changed my speekers while keeping the the stock head unit. I also added an amp and sub woofer. I used MB Quart components in the front, MB Quart mid range in the rear a 12" JL Audio sub in the trunk. I also added an Eclipse five channel amp. The sound system sounds great.
I have the stock head unit. I put Infinity Reference coax in the rear, just for 'fill' sound. I have Eclipse components for the front and will install a 5 channel US Amps amp in the trunk with a 12" Image Dynamics sub.
If you want sound that will amaze you, go Diamond like me
Diamond Hex s600 in the front
Diamond M3 Coax in the rear
12" Diamond Sub
PG Class D sub amp
Eclipse 4chnl for speakers.
all from a Kenwood Excelon HU

For plug and play, some of the CDT component kits have received excellent reviews. Do some research here: www.elitecaraudio.com
Personally, I would DIY it.
