20th aniv. Max, anyone else?

Just bought this beauty, but being on this freakin' site makes me want to add a lot of stuff to it. There are some beautiful cars here. Anyway, I'm gonna tint it up and put some beat in it with my tax return. I think that the 20th aniv. edition is plenty nice and doesn't really need too many extras. Rims are too expensive for me, so I think that this is the proper route to take with my money. Any objections/questions/comments?

Yeah I think that they're titanium. My friend says that they're polished alloys. They're pretty shinny. I thought that they were chrome when I first bought it. I do want to go performance though, but that's later. I'm sick of all these lesser cars runnin on me. The Max engine is wonderful, these v-8's and newer v-6's are gettin up there in hp. So when did they decide to make the freakin altima faster than the MAXIMA? I heard that the 3.5 altima is faster than the 255/265hp Max because it's lighter...any word?

Hey Newbie! You think just like me. Same reason i bought the 20th. However i found that you can do some mods and still keep the look and feel of the 20th. Check out my cardomain site and PM if you have any questions.

congrats on the purchase, 20th A.E. maxima is the best maybe cause i'm biased The A.E. rims are not titanium, thats for the titanium edition 2k3 maxima. They are bronze tinted, much like the headlights.

Congrats and nice car! You can get a set of Tein lowering springs from www.southwestautoworks.com for a pretty good price. They will make your car look real good.

Thanks for the clarification. Why do you think that this purchase is the best?

Are you replying to me? Im not sure, but if you are referring to the springs ill tell you why I like them. I have been on 3 different sets of lowering springs (Eibach, Sprint, and Tein). The Tein so far have offered me the drop im looking for and also have given me the most comfortable ride out of the three. The Eibachs and Sprints were both a lil more rough than the Teins and did not lower it as much as I wanted. But opinions are subjective to what your personal preferences are.

Auto to auto they arent any faster than the 02-03 autos(some of us may be tad quicker than them) and 04 SE's, 02-03 manual vs them they are about the same. The manual Alti may be tad quicker than the 04 manual judging by the times I have seen on it. Still havent seen what the 3.5 05 Alti with the 5 extra hp and 5spd auto or manual has done yet. Enjoy that AE!

Congrats on your purchase. I love mine and I like it because it's limited production and kinda special not to mention good looking (even tho the 3.5 is quicker). Have fun ...

Actually the AE SE wheels are the same as the Titanium Edition wheels. No difference!

Well the color is the same but the design is different, the AE rims have the center piece and slightly larger(different styled) spokes vs the 03 design. Which doesnt have the center piece with the thinner spoke design.

gotta love the 20th anniversary...

you can get the bolt on parts for cheap if you search the Group Deal forum or the For Sale forums. Just picked up on the Warpspeed Ypipe for a decent price. So if you have the patience, Group Deals are the way to go.

your basic bolt-ons would be Intake, springs/shocks, strut/sway bars, and exhaust.

everyone has their own opinion about the brands, but decide for yourself by using the "seach" feature in the forum. it's a helpful tool if you ever have any DIY questions or problems.

Frankie, your car looks awesome man..
Hey, when I bought my car it had some little nicks on the hood, like little rocks had been kicked up on the freeway. I wasn't too concerned about them in the beginning, but once I owned the car I became a perfectionist. I want them gone! Any idea about how to get rid of these chips??

Well to prevent more paint chips and small imperfects on the hood/bumper you can buy a Bra or if you don't like how the leather bra looks, you can also get a 3M Clear Bra for the bumper and hood. Takes alittle extra effort and finess to apply the clear bra.

As far as getting rid of them the only way I can come up with is to get it professionally detailed, use touch up paint, or just get a new paint job.

i don't mind the rock chips so i'd rather spend it on gas since california is raping me - $40.00 per tank for 16 gallons. damn the gas hike!!!

hope that helps.

I bought a set of AE headlights brand new and one of the lights bronze color inside seems to be darker than the other. One is bronze and the other is like gold. Has anyone else had this problem.

like i said, i am biased cause i own a A.E.

but i think its a good purchase because i got a fully loaded maxima with stock aero kit, aggressive headlights, interior cosmetic goodies, "5 extra hp", and different fuel maps in the ECU stock for only $16k @ 20,000 miles

I think the best mod is tint. Makes the car look more aggressive and protects your interior from fading. I have 35% on the sides and %20 on rear.
