Y-pipe Question

Hello,

Newbie here. Sorry if this has been asked/answered many times, I am having trouble finding any related info.

I have a frankencar intake and everything (exhaust) else is stock. What type of hp gains would I see by adding a Y-pipe (say cattman)? Just wanted to hear real-world claims and not manufacturer claims.

I want to leave everything else stock, from what I understand my exhaust would not be any/much louder that way - is that true?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks fellas.

ok.. i have the same setup..
BERK intake and ypipe and everything else is stock

your call will be just a bit louder... not much.. barely noticible.. your muffler is gonna sound more like the 350z..
and you can hear the rumble from the y pipe only when u floor it

the gains on mine is 18hp

Thanks for the response. Wow! I had no idea the gains (18hp) were so significant with the Y-pipe addition. That's awesome. Anyone else out there with some numbers or estimations of HP gains due to Y-pipe?
