I'm not into the boxy look of the Octane kit. It makes the Max look like a freaking breadbox. Something with a big-mouth look to it but still flows with the car would be nice. Maybe something that would look good with an intercooler and SSR's turbo kit?
Maxima Zero, you need to talk to Stillen for real. Your design isn't gonna do you any good sitting on your hard drive. You need to market that sucka!

Thanks folks!

For the people that still are wondering: If you go back and look at the development photo what you see is the beginnings of the finished product. There are no openings like the 00-01 piece. In fact, if you look at the photo, there is NO material on the passenger side of the fascia. It sometimes is more trouble than good to post development photos - but we wanted you all to know what was going on.

Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks for photoshoping the wheels in. In a rush to show you all the new part, we didn't have time to put wheels in and were insulted in the process of trying to help.

Regards -

if my lip ships out today like it should, I'll send you a pic of my car with the kit on.

I have 18" wheels and a 2.5" drop so it should look nice.

credit triple8sol for the wheels.
Nice

Is there any way to bring the rear wheels outward more, and make the Max look a little lower?

I have to say I'm a bit disappointed with this new lip. It looks ok but I hope it looks alot better with a drop. I really like the aero lip style and that's what I was hoping for...

Well, I'm going to put it plainly. I don't think anyone was insulting you guys, there's some forwardness to be expected on an internet forum. However as a customer who's purchased over $4000 in merchandise directly from your company there is an expectation to be properly informed. I'm sure the maxima community is gratified to have Stillen's renewed interest in our segment of the market, but keep in mind we have dealt with our share of brush-offs, delays, and half-hearted promises. It's not easy doing business, I'm aware, especially with buyers as choosy as us. But the reason we keep buying from you guys is because of your reputation for putting out quality products that satisfy the discriminating buyer.

No doubt, there was a misunderstanding here, but please don't expect us to feel badly for insulting you after your herculean effort to snap a few potentially misleading pictures. I'm happy to see that you guys have formally noticed our community and are engaged in active dialogue, but keep in mind this comes after years of our members harassing your sales agents with phone calls trying to let you know that we have money waiting for you.

I think a lot of people had hopes based on the initial photographs and the wording of the announcement that we would finally be getting the 00-01 lip spoiler. I guess emotions ran high. Keep in mind if you guys are a bit more up front with us in the future I'm sure we'll all make an effort to refrain from insulting you.

I for one, think the spoiler looks great. I admit I'm a bit disappointed that we didn't get the 00-01 look, but i'm sure if i was told in advance I would have pre-ordered one anyway. In the meantime I will consider my options.

if I could find good angle pics of some side skirts and rear valence and put it on there it would look lower, but I don't have the time to search for them right now.

After following both threads for this lip, I don't think Stillen should take all the blame for the misunderstanding that has occured.

For those that ordered it early based on a production picture, chose to take the risk of the lip not looking 100% like the '00-'01 aero lip.

I'd also like to thank Stillen for showing some renewed interest in the 5.5's, however, some more consultation with the members here would have made things easier and more clear.

For those that don't like this lip, there's always the MaxxTuning lip that should ship next week. I'm glad I purchased the MaxxTuning lip even though it took forever
