I just purchased a 2001 Maxima with automatic climate control. Is there any way to have it stay on recirc air. If I puch the recirc button, It will stay until you turn the a/c off or shut the car off. This is not a big issue, It's just that sometimes I like to have the a/c off, but without the recirc on, I get air flowing in through the vents.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

If you want the a/c off and no air coming through the vents, just turn the hvac off. On my 03 it does the same thing when car is shut off it, the recuirc funtion is cancelled.

 

but if you just turn off the HVAC, then some air still comes out.

so to answer the question - NO there is no way to keep it on. if you turn off/on the climate control or turn the car off you have to push it again. i hate that too! i just drive with it off but the recycle on which stops ALL air flow
