It's been real....Thanks everyone!

I'm outa here! Just traded in my Super Black Maxima SE 6-spd for an 03 350Z perfomance edition....

Just want to thank everyone...the ORG has been great!! I loved the max, it served me well....I really hate to see it go, but hey...we're talking Z here, so I'll get over it.

Time to start modding all over again!

BTW- Just so you guys feel good, the Z doesn't feel any faster! Long live the Max!!!
(However it's going to be easier for me to put some serious HP to the pavement)

RIP Veronica! I hope you find someone worthy!

I enjoyed seeing pics of your Maxima. You had it looking great. Have fun with your Z (and the payments lol). Maybe I'll see your Z at Golden Gardens meet.

No, not a VQ35, just the Maxima that was built around it. Good luck bro, I hope the Z bodes well for you.

are you serious? my friend has a z, which i've driven a few times. my max is lightly modded in terms of hp/tq, and i feel that a stock z spanks my max in every category (aside from interior space). but yeah, live it up and enjoy the new whip

The car is amazing. It's like my Max lost a couple seats and got a whole lot tighter.

Things I miss: The guages....the outward visability.

I'm still breaking in the motor, so I don't really know how it'll run yet...but feels good. The shifter is really nice. The suspension is tight...the car feels VERY solid.

My insurance is going to be $200 a year cheaper. Go figure. I don't know what they have against the max.

You can thank the headlight thieves for the increase in rates.

Dont get it twisted fellas...
A 350Z will own you at the track.......just because you thought you might have
given one a run for its $$ on the street dont mean shyat, including me(Ive played with a few z/g35 C myself). It is superior in performance....so unless you have a modded 6sp dont even trick yourself into believing your Max can smoke even a stock auto Z.....sweet dreams are made of these...

DrVolk...you've made a great choice...stepped into a collector's piece

so a stock auto z runs better than a 8.5 in the 1/8? i dont think so. no stock z runs that fast.

Good choice, I followed a silver 350Z Track today for a few miles drooling all the way...I'm considering trading for a 350 or G35 but the interior hasnt grown on me (yet)....But who knows what next year will bring

And if you don't mind the way how much did you get for a trade, and how much did the Z come to?

Before this past weekend, i believed this to be very true. But the way i handed a G35c it's A$$ this past weekend from a roll, i will not trade except to have RWD.
From about 60mph, the G35 was in front of me and everytime an opening came up he'd floor it then slowdown. We passed some construction and the highway was about to open up to a 4lane highway. I put the max in 3rd gear and waited for him to try it again. He punched it (He was auto because he was fully loaded without the spoiler and the way the car downshifted didn't seem like a 6mt). I was about a car behind him, and i punched it as well.
3rd gear started pulling a little and i went on the lane on his left (hoping to pass, but not so sure) because there were no cars. By end of 3rd i was on his rear bumper and it didn't seem like i was pulling anymore.
I shifted to 4th and it was all over. The max just WALKED him. I mean, the max jumped and just started pulling continuously. I never raced a G35 before and i thought he'd have me from a roll because he has more HP than we do, but boy was wrong.
Funniest thing was, a friend of mine (his id on the org is PIONEER) was in the passenger seat and waved him buh-bye with a HUGE smile
I shut it down around 120mph once i noticed he let off. I had 2 cars on him by then.
My only mod is the HKS catback. Nothing more. And he was racing. If he was able to stay ahead while i was flooring it in 3rd, then he was definitely racing.

EDIT: Anybody see the Nissan commercial with Carlos Goshn and the AWD Z on the 4wheel dyno in the background? Pioneer was telling me about it. I'd trade the max for that.

My 1 cousin has a G35 Coupe and my Nephew has a G35 Sadan. I've driven both cars. Both are autoz. They are nice cars but stick is a stick. We Lunged on that G35 on the hwy and it was all over. The Guy did give me a Thumbs up while I was waving bye bye through the window.

I'd love to see these guys track times that are handing 350z's and G35c's there a$$ on the highways. Thats were the 350's power shines 3rd gear on and a driver with a clue can run 13's stock @ 100-101.

Did you see twisties mentioned in that post above at all?
Maybe i would've kept up, and pulled on the straights. I thought they were much faster than me on the highway and was surprised. For all I know i may be able to keep up....
Won't know until i get a chance to.

I know the track times of the Z and G35s, but i was surprised of the results myself. I have yet to race a manual one so we'll see then.

I raced a 6sp 350Z up to 70 MPH. It was dead even.
