JIC coilovers FLT A1 vs. A2

obviously, the A2's outperform the A1's, but by how much? there is about a $500 +/- difference, from good to SICK!, but is it really worth it? coilovers would be a big jump from aftermarket springs/struts/shocks combo, or even from a STOCK suspension. what are the "layman" differences between the A1 and A2, besides the price?

*kind of wondering, since the group deal on these is almost up..

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....7&page=1&pp=30 this thread say it all.
I'am about to get A2 by this summer, if money allows.

Quote
It would need to be the JIC FLT-A2 for me. Zero interest at all in the FLT-A1, particularly since it's A33 only on the site, and I would need an A32 fit...

Unique specs between the FLT-A1 and FLT-A2:
FLT-A1: 5-setting damping adjustment.
FLT-A2: 15-setting damping adjustment. Monotube damper (40mm or 45mm vs. the much smaller one on the FLT-A1).

JIC-Magic's site seems to say that both have camber adjustment... so FLT-A1's might not be bad, but they're only for the A33 on the site...?

is it because the a2's have the upper pillow ball mount, that lets you adjust camber and adjustment?

I'd like to know the very same thing. I've been considering a set of A1's myself.

i personally think...a2's are more for ppl that will adjust them alot....for ppl who want to autocross and stuff....if your a show guy...and don't race....A1's will do the same thing as A2's....both A1/A2 have upper pillow ball, i emailed JIC and asked about that myself before i purchased my set.... I should have the A1's this coming week and i'll let u know more...

Personally had the FLT-A2 on my 2000 SE. The best mod that I had by far, certainly the most expensive as well but I think it's was well worth it and would do it again.

If you don't autocross or don't drive like a maniac on the street (yeah I'm SURE none of us do) then the A1's will still be a HUGE improvement over the stock suspension. However, it's hard to say. $500 bucks is a lot of money (at least to me).

I HIGHLY RECCOMEND this setup. The only problem is that a lot of people don't want to shell out the money and would rather buy neon lights.

NYC Tar-holla at JTMAX03

he has A1's and loves em...the difference is the adjustability....they both have pillow ball mounts and camber plates

A1's adjust 5 ways while A2's do 15 ways...both are essentially the same coilovers

What are you going with? A1 \A2
I really don't care about the percise adjustability.
The big differnece is the mono and twin tube strut. People say that the mono tube is so much better, in term of perforamce and reliability. 500 dollars more f it.

I dunno, I might end up with the A1's...I gotta do some thinkin but first I gotta get my $900 worth of mods that I just bought (Stillen lip kit and cattman y pipe)

A2 has 15 way adjustment and a monotube damper

A1 has 5 way adjustment and a twintube damper

For street use, the A1 is all I need. My JIC FLT-A1's were ordered last Monday and I hope to have them in the next few days. Tein S. Techs will be up for sale by the end of the month.

I hear you mod are expensive. I would try to get right the first time , the second time doing it would be waste of time and money.

I'll holla at you when I have free time!
