Brake calipers rusting

Brake calipers rusting

My brake calipers in the front and back are showing signs of rust....what do you guys do out there about this?? chrome them ? paint them?

Dont worry about it, its not going to do anything to your car. Paint them if you want to but clean them up good and brush the rust off with a wire brush. Don't go chrome unless you are planning on showing the car as chrome does not get rid of heat as well.

I just painted mine for they were extremely rusty and looked horrible. Didn't take long, 40 min or so with using the oem jack and tools for the tires. Used break cleaner and a wire brush to clean them first, then covered everything else in plastic and masking tape. I used a high temp enamel engine paint. Went with a dark grey so they are not that noticable. Did not want a ricey look.
