I was just wondering what the sizes of our wipers are? I want to change to whole thing(arm). In Hong Kong, they sell some really nice razo gunmetal ones... I want to pick up a set but there are so many sizes. what is the driver and passenger side sizes?

 

The sizes for the 5th Gen are 26 inches on drivers side and 17 inches on the passenger side. I just got myself some Michelin Performance Wipers for my 03 Maxima.

 

here is a pic of the ones i'm looking to get. If anyone else wants any let me know... if enough interest, i may be able to start a GD and get a discount on them.

Why paid so much for wipers? I would have never thought people modded their wipers.

 

luck you, see any sick car yet ( skyline GTR, JDM Altezza / IS300l, Evolution). I miss those car over their except thoose 1.3 series 3.
I would use the Cefiro size wiper arm size, then again they have right hand drive car.

I just measured it- the passange whole arm(not include the wiper) size is about 27 1/2 inches and the Driver side is about 24 1/2 inches.

 

Hmmm.... so whats the correct size I need to buy to get them to fit...???

I see skylines almost everyday.. some 33, some 34... i see GTO's here too... those are nice... i first thought they were supras... most of the cars here are more about the JDM look with more engine mods... there's also some very unique cars here that i find interesting...

 

I guess its unique and a pretty good mod...i remember someone talking about driving fast and using wipers and it not being efficient. these have the downforce thingy that helps it clean while driving fast... but any ways, the wipers run about 30 dollars each. I think the price is about average for a mod. Its definitely noticeable and the color and the style does not look like the cheepy ricey US ones i've seen in autozone....

 

They won't last 5 minutes in a mall parking lot because they look nice and expensive.

 

I don't think I'd pay 60 bucks for wipers...but that's me. they do look good, though.

 

That's my point. I use my wipers to wipe away stuff on my windshield, not to show off while driving. I would never think someone's car looks better or 'performs' better because of their wipers.

 

As previously posted, the sizes are 26" for the driver's side and 17" for the passenger. I tried getting Bosch but Autozone didn't have the 26" Bosch and I wound up with a 26" Anco and a 17" Bosch.

krazyd: let me ask you, so you have strobe lights, what do they do for your car? would you say they are more useful for your car then an upgrade in wipers??? and how much are the strobe lights you sell, more than the 60 dollars i would spend on my car ??? and arent the strobe lights on your car used to "attract" attention?

btw, my car is pretty much a show car so it most likely wont get jacked unless they take my whole car with it since there are other things of more value then my wipers...

The ANCO's suck IMO. I had them on the car for about 3months be4 it rained, then when it did it left streaks like it was half way dried up already Im thinking about trying PIAA's next time around. They cost a big more, but ive never heard negative about them.

Thieves tend to take things that are easiest to remove. It takes about 5 seconds to take a pair of wipers versus a few minutes to steal a stereo system. Thieves come in all age ranges and have different objectives. Start small and work your way up type thing.

 

IMO Bosch brand just sucks. I bought their most expensive type and it's suppose to last longer but after 2 months, it had to be replaced. The oem nissan blades lasted almost 1 year.

 

I bought the PIAA's, they work well, but i liked the Bosch's i had on my old jeep better. Just my opinion though. If I had a choice which i don't becuase Bosch doesn't make a 26 inceher, I would choose the Bosch's.

Personally I think its the windshield glass that causes the streaks that dissapear after a couple of seconds.

 

I still have my original OEM blades on my 02. I've had the car since January 02.

 

Yeah that's why i'm switching back to oem blades. They're actually not that bad compared to other oems.
