Shift knob for 01 5Sp
You can get them at www.custommaxima.com or check ebay but install is what i need to
i had the same problem, come to find out the first time you take the stock shift **** off it will be hard. i put a towel over it and then took big pliers and twisted, it came right off. i also have the AE shift ****. i got it on ebay and after 4 months it started chipping. i started picking at it only to find out that it was chrome underneath. so now ive got a AE shift **** but its chrome instead of that gray color on top. the numbers still stayed on, those didnt chip. it looks sweet either way.

If you are careful, you won't tear up the OEM ****. Just do as kpr10is said....it's easier if you get some vise-grip pliers so it won't slip and tear the OEM ****....gotta put a little muscle into it.
I changed the original shift **** on my 2000 Max Gxe, It took some hard work but I used some grip tools and destroyed a little bit my old shift ****
U can check out my new one
