I'd definitely go for the AE shift ****. Any idea where they can be purchased, and how to install?

i had the same problem, come to find out the first time you take the stock shift **** off it will be hard. i put a towel over it and then took big pliers and twisted, it came right off. i also have the AE shift ****. i got it on ebay and after 4 months it started chipping. i started picking at it only to find out that it was chrome underneath. so now ive got a AE shift **** but its chrome instead of that gray color on top. the numbers still stayed on, those didnt chip. it looks sweet either way.

A heat gun will also help out. Just realize that your most likely going to tear up the OEM **** so there's no going back.

If you are careful, you won't tear up the OEM ****. Just do as kpr10is said....it's easier if you get some vise-grip pliers so it won't slip and tear the OEM ****....gotta put a little muscle into it.
