You're probably better off selling yours and buying a 6 speed. At least look into it and see how much of a difference in price there will be between the two.

Killer2002SE- He would do the swap for you for free, but how much would it cost if somebody actually had to pay?

LOL, you wont even get a shift **** from a 6speed for that kind of money from a dealer. They charge $400 for a MAF, imagine how much the will charge for all the parts you need for a conversion.

Here in Tuscaloosa, AL the last time I checked they had a few 6 speeds available. If I'm not mistaken they were all new and between $2000 and $2500. Pretty sure there was 2 new and 1 used.

You can get a good idea of the price of a 6-speed transmission and ECU, plus any other used parts you may need by searching here: http://www.car-part.com

Maybe this will be of help.....

Try contacting Jeff of MaximumTuning.net

I know he has done some conversions from auto to manual. He did danny's (PCguru2k). I was at his shop yesterday having some work done and he mentioned that he recently did the 6speed conversion on his '97; though he was a manual to begin with. Give him a call, I am sure he can also help with locating the parts needed. Tell him Angelo sent you.......
