Anyone noticed that the 17 inch wheels on the 2K and 2K1 stick out farther than the tire? I found out last night when i knicked the curb and put a little scratch in my rim. I"M SO PISSED. How much would a factory 17 be from the dealer, think i could blam it on them and get a new one for free? The car is only 1 month old. Thanks guys.

If the scratch is not too deep you can have the rim refinished for about $100-120.

The wheels can be refinished just like what Green 2kSE said. IMO, save your money for something else. All my wheels have scratches because I like parking very close to the curb. Oh well, my fault...

Hey Guys, I changed my original tire for 235/45/17 the tire bulge a little bit but it help saving the wheel when you park too close, this way you will only scratch the rubber and not the mag it is really efficient.

Have a good one

Re: hey um Adam

Thanks HaulinMax, i think adam spends too much time sitting on his stick shift to know anything about really driving a maxima. 15.6 in the 1/4 mile, you must be a sh*tty driver, i can do better than that on foot. Anyway, thanks HaulinMax, some people are just tools.

Actually if you werent a stupid *** newbie you would know my car is an AUTO not 5spd meaning a 15.6 is a pretty good time in the 1/4 isnt it??? Ill be damned if a whining newbie is gonna talk shiet to me.... cant even drive so has to blame nissans rim design as the reason he scratched a rim.... Ohh and im having a great day, its my one year anniversery with my girlfriend, i just hate ignorant whiners...
Ohh and i just waxed my baby, ill post some pics of it soon, its crazy gorgeous

Re: Re: Re: hey um Adam

Yeah, i maybe a newbie, but i am not dumb enought to get a beige auto max, probably the worst combination even seen on a car ever. my sister's 92 buick lesabre can run 15.6 so your max is obviously a POS But nice try loser.

maxse01...i'm gonna have to back up adam here...we both went to the track together and got almost identical times...we are #3 and #4 in the 1/4 mile on this board as far as n/a auto STOCK max's go...that is pretty good considering paul had much lighter rims and mingo...well, i don't know how he ran 15.333...anyways, i call bs on your buick running a 15.6...

well, looking back, adam's post was a little...umm...fiesty, but you shouldn't expect nissan to pay for a mistake that you made...2 of my rims have small scratches on it, one was from letting my dad drive and the other was from my poor judgement...i have had the car for over a year...i'd say 2 scratches are pretty good for that amount of time...anyways, maxse01, you saying that adam's "max is obviously a POS" is not exactly the most sensible thing to say since you have the exact same car just w/ a different tranny

Nicely said Zach. maxse01 is looking like an idiot with his posts. Your on crack man. 15.6 in an auto is Pretty damn good my friend. How do we know that it isnt a turbo buick from the 80's?

hahahah hey at least i left my shifter assembly alone... next time i might as well take out the drivers seat.. sit on a bucket. i'm taping up alot of things next time i go.. gonan use e-tape to tape up the gaps to make the care more aero dynamic.. (gotta make up for the heavy wheels) and see wut the vb can do..

Im considering getting one of my rims refinished anyways. There are a couple of places where the clearcoat has been scratched off badly and Iam worried about it corroding away from the large amounts of roadsalt that they spread up here. I previously owned an eagle talon... it's wheels ended up corroding badly after a few years. Iam not sure what the refinishers can do though. It'd be nice if they could just touch up the nicked parts.. just to seal it up. Sucks nonetheless.
