Warranty help

Ok with all this talk of the tranny slipping I did notice mine is doing it. The TSB says it covers cars built before sept. 00. Mine was built in april of 2000. I only had the 30,000 warranty on my car. Am I screwed at getting that fixed under the TSB or warranty. I got 58,772 miles on my car.

You should be ok getting the TSB performed under your 60k powertrain warranty. Just keep in mind that having nissan issue a TSB does not mean the dealer is required to perform the work unless you have a warranty, or are willing to pay for it out of pocket. I got mine taken care of under the powertrain warranty, so I'm assuming you should be ok as well.

Of coarse they will probably says it's my mods that did it. And they have seen my car there with mods.

Hmm, they shouldn't. Just be sure to print out the tsb and bring it with you to show your service advisor.

they cant say that. There are laws prohibiting them saying that your transmissions was F'd because of the intake etc. I havent had mine done because im lazy and not quite sure it exists on mine , but it is definitly covered under the powertrain, as the transmission is part of it.

Ok here is my question. Does the car come with that warranty or did I have to buy it. I bought it from a private party and at the time I went to see what warranty I had left on it. The dealership said I had the 30,000 mile warranty. Am I screwed.

No, I don't think you're screwed. Perhaps you may want to consider trying a different dealership, but if the same applies to a 2k as my 2k1, your vehicle had/has a 3 year/36000 mile bumper to bumper warranty, and either 5 or 6 year/60000mile powertrain warranty. Not sure why your dealer said 30k mile warranty, unless they mean an additional 30k due to an extended warranty perhaps? Either way, what you are describing should be covered under powertrain warranty.

I am going to give it a try and see what happens.

Your Powetrain Warranty is 5 years from the date the car was initially sold to the "first owner" or 60,000 miles whichever comes first.

Mines not a tranny slip. No signs of debris or burnt fluid. I even got to look. I also even got the drive the car with the tech to show what is was doing.
