6 speeds have no limiter. Which he myst be b/c autos are limited to 130 (I think).

Studman hit 157mph on a dyno just last week, but I don't know what they hit on the road. I've hit 140mph one time and it seemed to have a lot more left.

I hit 144 once.. downhill.. even tho there are plenty of rpms left, the drag limit will get you.. is there even a speed limiter for the 2k2, 2k3s? what about for the 2k4s?

I know our cars have plenty of HP to get up to 150MPH. Its the stock suspension and stock tires that we should worry about at that speed. Is there enough down force to keep the car on the ground?

C/D recorded a drag limited 147mph topend. I believe the GLE/GXE are govered @ 127mph, as is the Infiniti I35. I dont know about the SE auto; I've heard that they're also governed at ~130mph but I've gone way past that, assuming my speedo is somewhat accurate.

I've considered pulling the portable Garmin GPS from my minivan and using it to measure a topspeed run in my Maxima. But, I'm too chicken now.

well ive hit 138-140 mph so its definetly not limited to 130. even at 140 it still had gas left. i managed to take a picture at 130 mph but not at 140...kinda difficult to hold the camera and hold the steering wheel at the same time at that speed.

it was on the race track of course hehe

You do realize that your speedo is massively off at that high of a speed. There's no way to tell exactly how fast you were going unless you used a GPS unit...

Ive seen 148mph. 5th ends at about 140mph, then put it into 6ths and wait forever for it to move. im sure it would have gone a few more mph if i had the room.

Im certain my speedo is pretty accurate and I have checked it with a GPS upto 100mph. I have hit 149mph on a few occasions and I think I could hit over 150 with the way my car is making power now.

I can tell you that my speedo was less than 3 MPH off at 157 MPH. The dyno machine read 157 and the speedo was reading 155. So as far as the "inaccuracies" of the speedometer, my dyno info should help throw that idea out the window.
