Well since it isn't acting up right now they can do nothing. I got a new tranny lined up if this one goes any time after my warranty.

How are we to know that the new transmission won't die after another 22k miles?

It isn't acting up because I don't have a transmission. I'm on the waiting list to receive a backordered transmission.

Cheers to one month.

I got the Maxima back on Friday... even though they gave me a due date of 4/11. Glad to have it back.

I guess Nissan rushed my transmission because I'm hitting them with a $374 rental car bill. They picked up $60 off the top, so it was more... but now they need to pay the rest since they denied me a car when it was in the shop for 2 weeks at a dealer.

Yeah I remember you from the 3rd gen forum. I gave my 3rd gen to my sister when I bought the 2k2... I think it only had 92,000 miles on it when I gave it to her..

Its funny how threads on similar problems appear at the same time on .org... Btw, I put mine in the dealer's shop on Saturday with the transmission slip and they told me that its not gonna be ready till at least wednesday. Good thing i take the subway to work...

Not new used. DaveB and myself had talked it over and we believe that I can swap a 01 AE in my 00 just by switching driveshafts. All pins and hook-ups are the same. The ECU and TCM doesn't need to be changed cause of the diff.
