I just got 18" rims put on my 2k2 maxima. now i really need to drop my car cuz as of now, it looks lifted! haha. ive been asking about coilovers and shock/spring combos, but i guess this is what im really looking for. I want a smooth, soft ride(not into racing or performance, so no stiff stuff). i live in southern california so i really do not have to worry about pot holes or what not. I have no clue on how low springs can take you, i just want to get rid of the hidious gap i have on my car right now (fist gap in each wheel well).

i need an opinion on shock/spring combos that will drop my car enough to get my tire gap jus under an inch. im considering tein, JIC and D2 racing coilovers, but if there is a shock/spring combo that works and drops just as well, let me know. thank you.

If you're wanting a 1" wheel gap, Progress or lower will do the trick. I have a 1 finger gap in the back and 1.5 finger in the front.

If $ is no object, get the JIC's.

Does anyone have H-Tech springs on their cars? Pictures of the drop? How are they and what shocks are you running with them? Would H-tech with Kyb Gr2 be ok? Someone help me out, ya?

In your case, anything will be better than OEM struts w/ OEM springs.

You wanted to remove gap so you need lowering springs. Any lowering springs will reduce the gap; some more than others. It's also a good idea to get a good set of struts to go along w/ your springs. I think you'll be happy w/ Tein H-Tech w/ Tokico Illuminas

 

yea, i decided to go with H-Tech and KYB GR2....my friend told me those will be pretty smooth and even. thanks everyone for your help!
