Basically you just cut the top of the stock airbox open like this.

 

From what I remember reading this will give more HP than any intake tested. Is that correct?

How about sound? Does it sound like you have an intake when you are punching it?

I'm trying to get some of the HP that the factory jacked from me. LOL

 

Some people leave the stock air box alone and only alter the intake tube to the airbox. Some modify both the air box and the intake tube.

 

taking the airbox out and attatching a cone filter to the MAF section is another cheap and easy way to get a short ram intake..a biiig difference and also the engine sounds sooo nice. .02
