SE is stiffer than the GLE/GXE. If you read mainstream reviews (car mags, edmunds.com, etc.) they tend to say the SE suspension is "harsh".

I think it's just right. Just make sure to add a rear sway bar which will greatly improve the handling.

SE= sport edition or whatever
GLE = luxury edition
GXE = standard edition, I suppose, but has same suspension as GLE.
SE feel also depends on whether you are getting it with the factory 16's, 17's or aftermarket rims. The higher profile the tire, the softer the ride (generally).

drop me a pm, we can meet up sometime and I'll show you.

Damn I wish I had a maxima when I was 18!

Ride should be fine, since you said this is your 1st car you don't have much to compare it to. For comparison's sake, my 2k SE ride is stiffer and harsher (and handles better with RSB) than my 92 accord coupe was, and better than my 87 integra was...

The Se model has sport tuned suspension so it is definetly
stiffer suspension then the other models. I noticed when i frst drove
my car and hit some dips. Front, back and antisway bar definelty
improve handling.
