I got Nissan refills from dealer (about $15) and was very satisfied - worked great and quiet. I think they are starting to wear a little after a year of use. I'll have to try the PIAA and check out the difference. Thanks for the info.

I got mine last week but it hasn't rained yet to try them out. The wipey is the same as Rain-X.

Mine neither. Oh well. Still works FABULOUS. Finely got a hell of a rain, worked beautifully.

Smoked my wifes' cars brand new generic auto parts brand wipers. I'll be switching them over to PIAA soon.

Also, I just put ~1-gallon exactly of Rain-X windshield washer/de-icer fluid into my reservior. So, once I use that, it should Rain-X the windshield. If not, I found an old box of Rain-X in my junk car-parts stuff pile, so once I have the windshield nice and clean, I'll spread that on and see what all the hoopla about driving in the rain withOUT using your wipers is about.

Before with the OEM blades(3yrs.,~29K miles) they'd just smear the crap out of the rain and during light drizzles it would make visability WORSE if I used them. Even though they *appeared* fine, I knew the AZ sun had dried them out and made them stiff.

Anyways, it finally lightly drizzled today and OMFG what a difference. I could NOT believe the clarity and how clean/dry, ie no spots/smears, they worked.

Before you ask, I followed members' suggestions here and got the 26" and 17" REFILL at Options Auto Salon, http://www.optauto.com/webstore/basket.asp?in=yes, for $14+shipping, which I believe is cheaper then OEM and about the same as your cheap/generic auto-parts store.

So, if you're a dumb azz like myself and still driving on OLD hard/cracked OEM wipers, these are a steal IMO.

And THANKS to those members for pointing out killer blades at a bargain price IMO.
Dunno if you noticed or not, but the link you provided is for the shopping basket. I haven't read every post in this thread, so if someone corrected this already, my apologies on the report...

Driving through the middle of nowhere AZ desert Friday, some FREAK cloud/monsoon blasted the crap out of my car. PIAA wipers are hands down the best I've ever seen/used.

However, I'm still on the fence about the Rain-X de-icer, since it seems to leave a visible cloudy film/residue on the windshield once dry.

I had the same experience with Rain-X. Don't know if I did something wrong, but I haven't used it since. I will try the PIAA though. Thanks.

I went to Pep boys over the weekend and I replaced the inserts with trico ones. They were only 2.99 each and i usually replace them every nine months or so. For six buck you cant go wrong.
