Hello, I'm looking at possibly purchasing this '02 Maxima. In one of the pictures I noticed that there look to be some "prongs" up where the shifter boot ought to connect to the reverse ring. Looks like the boot may have become disconnected. I don't believe I've seen any like that before. Is it supposed to look like that? If not, is it hard to fix?

I haven't seen the car in person yet, its about 2 hours away. Thought I'd pick your guy's brains...

when you get it just move the boot up to cover that...somebody just mounted it too low

no big deal

the car looks to be in great shape

Thanks jeepik, I appreciate the feedback. Finding a '02-'03 6-speed, for a reasonable amount of money and not on the other side of the planet, has been a bear. If all goes well, I'll be picking her up tomorrow.

i actually have my boot even higher then it should be, i have it over the reverse ring itself.

i think it looks much better that way.

 

Why doesn't the car have floor matts?
