Maxima vs. Ben Johnson
So I pull up to the red light on Glenmore trail this morning, just minding my own business. I look out my side window, and what do I see? Ben Johnson! No Sh|t! He's there poised over the stop line in the starting position. He looks over and grins at me, his white teeth glistening in the sun, then shuffles his body a little in preparation for the green light. I know we're on so I get ready too. The light turns green and old Ben is off like a freakin' flash. Let's get it on I say as I shove the pedal to the floor. At about the 50 yard mark I start gaining on him but his arms and legs show no signs of letting up. Just as I pull up to his side he suddenly grimaces and starts bouncing like a crazy man. I catch a glimpse of the poor sucker in my rear view. Looked like he pulled a hamstring or something (yeah, suuure Ben). I flash my hazards and start reaching over to make another tick in the "kill" column, but in that moment of distraction, WHAM!, I smash into the rear end of a deli truck. What a day.
