You are so right but the problem is that in these still pics all people can appreciate is the outside look of the maxi

Before it was only fast max and now its both fast and sweet looking ride.

Anything else in the future?

Cant discuss in details here but im sure you all seen the spare engine picture in my garage. Its being builtup to handle at least 20psi. Also now have to work on the tranny to handle that power as well.

yea yea, I need to get me some nightshades spray again, I cant find my old can.

Also seems like everyone keeps asking me about the CFhood but seems that they all missed post #15 on who I got it from.

Thanks.

Take it easy though this time...just light shade of tint should do it.

Dixit,

One more thing I noticed, do you 'like' the IC piping showing through the fog light holes?

All I can say is daymn. Best 5th gen I've ever seen so far. Nice work

Must have cost you a lot of dough to get this far.

In any case, good work!

Wooooooooo that give me the jibblies... the good kind... I DIG IT! I've never been a fan of dark rims or cf hoods, but your car is hot brother.

I've been planning to get some grill inserts too - where'd you get yours?

dixit,

beautifull setup. your max looks awesome, especially with those ssr wheels. congrats on having one of the best max's on the org.

one quick question though, did you have to remove your factory grill to put the mesh grill on, or did you put the mesh grill over the factory one. I have a 00 max and have always wanted a mesh grill but i don't hava a dremel set (yet) to remove my factory one. thanks

Alex: I actually began liking the look cause when the street scenes grille's are on, you cant see the intercooler at all. Now when people look at it, all they see is that IC piping and they seem to have this feeling there is something under the hood of this badboy. But not fully sure. Plus I never used the Fogs. I might put them back in, might now. But to do that I have to redo the IC piping.

Mad2kMax - You dont have to remove the oem grille or cut it out. Just the trim has to be removed, attached the grille to that trim, and make it fit back on the bumper.

That's what I figured. I wasn't sure if you were going for the show/sleeper look with the lower valence grille, since those silver IC pipes are a dead give away. Intimidation factor.

If you were interested in 'concealing', so nobody would have a clue you were boosted, I'd get some GXE fog light plugs or similar and paint them body color. Easier then rerouting piping for fogs.

I actually want to find the same grille material that the top and bottom grille is made of and make my own covers for the Fog light holes.

Need to take the front bumper off. To do that you need to remove all the clips from the bottom where it has all the splash gaurds hooked up. Then the clips at the top of the grille. Then behind the sidemarkers there are two philips screws on holding the bumper to the quarterpanel. Remove them on both sides and the bumper is ready to be removed.

Then on the back the grille there is a set of philips head screws that remove the trim. Just the trim will come off, the grille is actually part of the bumper.
