Has anyone had a problem with the KYB GR-2 struts?

I replaced the front struts on my '01 Maxima this past weekend. The left side went great but the mounts for the ABS sensor and break line on the right side did not match up with the factory struts. I had to almost kink the ABS sensor because one mount's opening is facing up and the other mount is lower and facing down......its a little tough to explain, I hope this picture helps:

My other problem is that there is a lip on the break line mount and I can’t seem to get the retainer clip back on.....see pic.

I loosened up the ABS line as much as I could but I already had my ABS light come on this morning.....Thanks

I checked the part numbers but it just seems to me to be a manufacturing goof
