I never knew this....

Just the other day I realized that I can change the way my car arms itself with the stock alarm. You can have it silent when you hit the lock button so that the lights just flash and you know it is locked. Or, you can have it beep the horn when it locks, so you have the verbal responce from the car.

You have to hold down the unlock button on the remote and then hit the lock button 4 times to switch back and forth. You lights should flash when the change is made.

I didnt know that.....

It doesnt say it on the back of mine. You must have a special one.

On the back of mine it says

Use cr2025 battery
See owners manual for operation

Then in a box it says

FCC ID KBR......
Model MO: ASTU15
Canada: 21111111....
Manufacturer:
Calsonic Mansel Corp.


Anyone else have this?? Do I have some generic peice of crap or something???

That is what mine says too, it has no information on how to change the lock settings.........

ok, i guess some are diffirence but it does say See owners manual for operation

'00/'01s had different key FOBs than '02/'03s. That's why some of you don't have the info on the back.
