SES PO 138 & 139 Codes?

Hello.

I just bought a 01 GLE used from a dealer the last weekend in March. The first weekend in April the SES light went on. Today I bought a code reader and it said the codes were PO138 and PO139. Does anyone know what these are etc?

Thanks

its most likely your 02 sensor behind your cat...you probably have not felt a performance change because its after the cat. My light has been going on and off for the past few months. its not a crucial thing to change..

Cost?

Do you happen to know how much it would cost to have that fixed?

Thanks

you can buy a universal 02 sensor for like 50 bucks, but it requires you to weld it on. You can buy an OEM one (just plugs right in) for like 100 dollars. Take it to the dealership and they'll charge you somewhere near $350. Do it yourself.

You may not be able to do it yourself. The problem that causes some of these problems is the ECU. I had my O2 sensor replaced and it blew again in 2 hours. The ECU had to be reporgrammed by the dealer. Luckily it is covered by warranty and a TSB. Get it done for free!
