Stillen FSTB (??)

Hey guys...haven't been around for awhile so I apologize if this has been discussed recently.....

What's the deal with the Stillen FSTB? There's a ** next to the 00-04 listing in their catalog that says....Not LSD (03 5 speed only) ????

I called to ask them what that meant and they wouldn't give me a straight answer....they were actually pretty defensive about it

I have an '03 with a six speed and I have the LSD option....will the Stillen FSTB work? Will it damage anything (like the LSD)?

Thanks for any help.

I don't know why it says that...I could venture a guess but that doesn't do anyone any good. I'm sure someone will know.

What I thought was funny was that it says Not LSD (03 5 speed only). As we all know...5 speed 2k3s don't exist.

I don't know if it has any effects on the LSD.....I'm just wondering what Stillen means by that comment in their catalog .....and it seems pretty strange to me that they were so uncooperative when I called them to ask them about it

FSTB Question

When you install the FSTB does your alignment get messed up? What should I be concerned with when installing one?

It won't affect anything. Very easy to install, takes about 15 minutes.

Thanks, I think I'm going to go with custommaxima, it looks cool and it's only 70 bucks, I don't think I have to worry about what type of transmission I have either.

Let me know if custommaxima works out alright. I ordered one from them at the beginning of march. After waiting two weeks, I called them. They told me it was on back order and would take another week. After three calls of it taking another week, I just cancelled my order. If they don't have them in stock, I would expect to wait a while. Also, call them first to check if they have them in stock. They never called me, even though their website says they will.

Thanks for the tip, I just called them and they said they have a bunch in stock, has anyone put one of these on, and what kind of modification is need? and anyone with another brand, that didn't need any modification?

I'll get this one unless someone has something better.

I've not seen one installed but order one for a friend

the strut bar seem to be a real quality piece. Look strong.

i have a custommaxima front strut bar. Was very easy to install. Just make sure not to overtighten the bolts that hold the struts...and the bar. Tighten them to 80 lb or so.

80lbs or so? I thought it was only 35lbs! jeez, If my memory serves me right, the right torque is around 30-35lbs, but at 80? I'm not too sure. I could be wrong though..(as my FSTB is still in the box from this winter!)

Do you have any problems with the aluminum intake on the 3.5 hitting the bar? I know the Courtesy bar has that problem on 2K2+ . . . Thanks!

I just bought the OTTO on ebay for $40.00. Does anyone know if a 6 speed HSLD 3.5L 2003 Maxima will have any troubles with the OTTO rubbing on anything?

not the dog otto rubbing on your leg! the FSTB rubbing on an intake or something!

but seriously, does anyone know?
