remanufactured transmission

Does anyone know how much it would cost to get a remanufactured 5-speed transmission and how much to get it installed?

also, does anyone know if a 6-speed will cost more then a 5 speed?

From: NW Chicago burbs

$600-$1500 for a used as is 5sp
~$800 for a complete rebuild
~$2400+ for a "new" refurb unit from dealer

And $250-$400 for install/swap

ok, my next question is if it would be possible to swap out a auto with a 5/6-speed trans
