Good Throttle Body Cleaner?

What's a good Throttle Body Cleaner???? Valvoline?

are you talking about actually taking it off the car and cleaning it? if so, there is nothing better than CRC Green brake cleaner.

since we're at this topic, can anybody tell me why sometimes the car is idling 200-300 rpm higher than usual after we clean the throttle body ...
It happened to my friend's. He tried to reset the ECU too but no luck ... We used the same stuff (gunk) but i didn't have that kind of problem.

do you also get a SES light? because that what happened to me. you need to do a throttle position re-learn procedure, which is similar to resetting the ECU.

gunk is what i use.
but they are all pretty much all the same - they losen the carbon build-up to make it easy to wipe off

Do you have that procedure? I noticed mine was about 100 to 150 higher.

he didn't get SES light ... actually i'm not sure .. he has a supercharger on his car so that annoying light is on all the time .. I'll tell him to try this procedure.

If he has a supercharger then he must be 00/01. This reset procedure only applies to drive by wire cars, ie 02 - up. Try disconnecting the battery overnight instead. anyone with 00/01 can confirm this?
