Auto Window Up on Passenger Door?

Does anyone know if it is possible to wire up the passenger side window to work like the driver auto up/down feature? I mean, this is one of my gripes about the erganomics of the car... Even mY '93 Ford Probe GT had auto driver/passenger down! Anyone else have a gripe they'd like to voice? (I'm not sayin let's Maxima bash, just anyones personal dislikes)

Why does it bother you that much? At least you have a regular switch for operating the window. You might be able to replace the switch panels from a 2K2-2K3 Max.

Its just bothers me... nothin I lose sleep over, nothing that causes any sort of grief in my life....just one of my gripes, aside from it being an automatic but had no choice due to my 5 day/week commute through L.A. traffic for the next year.
I don't think the switch panels from a 2k3 are gonna work, others have tried and don't fit I guess... but I do have Krazy Glue and Duck Tape.... hmmmmmmm

I looked in the brochure for the 2000 Max and the door panels look identical to the ones in my 02. I would not know if the left plug in connector would be the same or not. It's worth a shot if you can find the parts in a salvage yard.

You're welcome. There is a slim chance that you can find one that was totalled in a rear end, front end or roll over collision since you live in a densely populated area.

I have tried this, it does NOT work. The 2K2 switch looks almost identical, same # of pins, etc- When you plug it in, the whole window/lock system stops working.

get DEI window modules. turns all yoru windows into one touch mode. touch again to stop it's movement. from alarm, can roll all windows down 1 inch at a time or all the way down...then when you arm, everything rolls back up....working on sunroof and so far, i get it to open fully when armed. i know, that's backwards, but it's a god damn start!!!

i love it. i use it daily....dont' even think twice about my windows cause when i walk away, they still rollin up.. :-D

I put the DEI window modules (Part #530T) and the moonroof module (Part# ?) on my 91 SE. I believe you can just add the 530T to your car and it will give you the one touch system you're after. If you want the moonroof module and/or the full feature of rolling up/down the windows by the remote then you have to get the alarm. Just remember that it takes one window module per 2 windows.

You can find more here.

hmm. you got the sunroof to work on your 91....the moonroof module you refer to is really just the 1-way window module, part no. 529T. i guess i gotta take a closer look.

Yeah I got the 529T to work fine on the car. It was setup just like you're trying to do....if the windows were open it would close them when the alarm was armed. And if the moonroof was open to it would slide forward and close and then pop-up (vent). That was the best I could get it to do.

that's cause the sun/moon roof is voltage regulated. IIRC, a full voltage signal will open the sunroof all the way (that's for 2k2). in the 91, it could have meant vent mode. the FSM explains which voltage levels mean which lcoations. this is why we have to reset the sunroof everytime we disconnect he battery. the sunroof module needs to know what is considered open aka it's limits of function.

i need to read the FSM again. this is looking like my next thing.
