We're comparing the 3.5L Maxima to a friggin 5.0 Thunderbird. In comparison to what he drives now, it's going to pull hard. That 5.0 has no top end whatsoever.

And then there's plus sizing.......

I think a 245/45/17 is closer in height to stock than a 225/45/17.
I think it's even the closest of any other tire (with exception to the 225/50/17 of course.)
But the most important thing he needs to do in regards to tires, is get something that has some friggin traction.

For my speed rush i'll buy myself another motorcycle ;-)
My 6 speed Max does not "creep" above 100 but its acceleration slows down when I get into the 120 mph + area. Have never exceeded 135 in the Max and probably never will. Again-I have the 2 wheeler thats better suited for performance fun.
You'll like the car. As far as bang for your buck its hard to beat.
Yes, I am a kawasaki man
I have had the zx-11, two zx-7R's, a zx-6r and a zx-6. Eventually I will get another Kawasaki (zx-10R) to fill my speed addiction (or an R1), i just need the max to keep me happy when i'm forced to ride in a cage ;-)
F23, the F4i is plenty of bike for a beginner and a more experienced rider. you'll like it!

After loooots of research, everyone seems to rant and rave about how good the acceleration is on the car. I've heard things lots of people say the Maxima offers great "bang for the buck". However, according to the numbers i've found, the 03 Maxima accelerates 0-60 in 7 seconds!!! that's amazing??? my 91 Tbird does 0-60 in that time, and it's an old clunker!! *sigh* I should be happy that I got the Maxima, cuz i know it's a solid and dependable car, but with a 0-60 of 7 seconds, how can i "really" be happy?
Any input would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks guys!
