Its located on the drivers side of the engine block. If your looking from the drivers side of the engine bay, it's on the bottom right-hand side. Look near the throttle cable to get an idea. I just replaced mine a couple weeks ago. Someone on the .org has a picture of this so if your able to search then go for it.

Look at the sticky at top titled "Instructions/How To". Go into the thread. Somewhere near the end, near page 13 or 14, is a link with the information you desire.

While at the dealer getting some parts today, I asked for a PCV valve for my 2k2 GLE. The guy at the parts counter said that they are made differently now 'no screen to clog up' and they dont need to be replaced. He also said they were metal, not plastic.

I didn't believe him but didn't want to argue. Never saw a PCV valve with a screen.. only that little shaker thing inside that blocks gases from going the wrong way. Who's right???

He might be right since the fuel filter is made from metal and has a screen too. I'd like to know as well since I have 67K on the Max with the original PCV valve. I'd like to replace it if it's dirty.

Dave, earlier today I caught some pics in another thread of a 5th gen in-tank FF that someone had removed, it was a white plastic can. He was showing us how dirty the fuel in it was after short miles.. sorry I don't have a link but are you talking about the same filter?

In another thread people were talking about PCV replacements, OEM for $14 and other brands.. which is why I decided to add one to my list today. I'm only at 52K and running fine, but next time I pass a dealer I'll check again to see if I get a different story on the PCV!

thx

Yes, I'm talking about the same filter. I've never seen one before, but thats what I was told. I'd hate to see what mine looks like right now.
