I'm just wondering if it matters where you buy gas. I know you can get the different octanes, but would it matter if you bought it at Mobil, Texaco, Costco, etc?

As long as it does not contain ethanol. Ethanol can clog your fuel system.

I usually stick to Amoco or sometimes Shell. I have noticed a slight difference with different brands of gas....

It definetely makes a diff between the different stations out there, but i've used sunoco 93 since day 1 and off and on 94, used amoco and mobile both excellent. Just feel a smoother acceleration w/ sunoco.

I used to use arco all the time but they pissed me off. First of all the gas is absloute crap, second of all they charge an illegal surcharge for credit card transaction and once they were out of premium gas!!! ohh and once they froze 75.00 on my credit card and it didnt get freed back up for like a week.... so now i only use texaco and its sooooo much better. try it, you can feel the difference

I use Costco premium which is basically the Unocal 76 at wholesale price. Several times, I see the same tanker and drivers visiting both the Costco and the Unocal 76 around my area. Difference between the prices is only about $0.02-$0.05 at most.
