Lowering-front End Only

I owned a 2001 AE, needed feedback. Has anyone done it and if so. Are there any problems. Do you have to do both rear and front end. Thanks

I you buy a set of springs you might as well just install them all. I lowered the front first and drove around on it for a day or two and it just wasn't right. My car seemed to dive into bumps and I could tell the car leaned forward. I wouldn't recommend it.

I was thinking doing exact same thing. As of now I can see/feel that the front of the car is lifted. In front I have 4+ finger gaps and in the rear I have tight 3 finger gaps.

If he is in the same stuation as me I would at least try and see. It will also depend what kind of springs and shocks used.

Don't just lower the front. I did that and i was riding slanted for about 2 weeks. It doesn't look too bad, but it feels very awkward driving like that. I would recommend that you lower everything, you'll reap the benefits of a lowered car and it will look alot better.

ive seen some skylines with the front lowered with some rims and they looked really good... Just dont do the old redneck style lowering where the butt sticks straight up.

Most aftermarket springs lower the front slightly more. But even then the front gap is still bigger than the rear. I haven't seen any springs that give slightly staggered look (meaning even wheel gaps front and rear) except Tein S.

If you use Tein S in front and stock in the back the car will look ghetto like Dave mentioned, but if you use Maxspeed springs or H&R springs the car should look very nice. H&R springs give about 3 finger gaps (maybe slightly less) in front and with stock springs I have 3 finger gaps (maybe slightly less).

Yeah, but Skylines have really deep seating. So despite the lowered front and raised back, you won't feel as if your *** is about to slide off the seat. Can't do that with a Maxima.

I just installed new AGXs in the back of my Maxima and I used Koni yellows before, since Konis have an adjustable spring perch and I couldn't find the allen wrench to readjust my Ground Controlls I just left them at the same setting as they where on my Konis. Now the back end sits about .5"-.1" lower than stock and my front is lowered 2.5", car looks very good and finally got rid of that dreaded understeer ! Azenis rock. I will post pictures of how it looks maybe tomorrow.
