Soundclips of Cattman Y-pipe and PowerTech PT1012 muffler.

Well, went out and did these earlier today with the help of Ian (96stillen_max). Make sure to right click and save as, so that you don't bog down the server while streaming them. Sorry about the little whining noise in the clips; we believe it was caused by the cheap mic that we used. Everything is still audible though.

Mods: Cattman Y-pipe, PowerTech PT1012 muffler, Frankencar midpipe, A'pexi intake, stock B-pipe.

Go here, and remember to right click and save as: http://zy.ixladder.com/maxima/recordings/lithiumax/

Note: the file labled "lithiuidle" is more of an idle/light reving (below 2000 rpm). Also, turn up your volume as the clips are a little bit quiet. Feel free to comment; any and all criticism is appreciated.

How far away did you put the recording device away from the muffler?

It was held just under the muffler, so as to avoid the exhaust rushing into the mic, while still getting the sound right.

I guess that's not too bad if you had the mic right next to it. I don't think it would sound as loud inside the car or a few feet away. I'm still contemplating the Y-pipe.

It is fairly loud, but as you can hear it is also deep.

Not bad, but that PT1011 is still too loud for my taste.

I really think it makes it sound twice as loud because the mic was so close. I'm looking for a little deeper sound because it's a little too high pitched. i just don't want it any louder than it already is.

Sounds pretty loud but it does have a good deep tone to it. I like it.

I like the sound. Very similar to the sound of my Cattman Y and catback combo
