2k Max. armrest question

I have a question about my 2k Max. SE, I think it's stupid, but I must ask :
The armrest that's between the two front seats has a button that allows it to raise about 2 inches or so for more comfort.
My problem is that when I raise it and lean on it, it goes back down.
My question is : is there a way to lock this armrest when it's raised ???

Thanks in advance.

If it doesn't lock, it's broken. It should only go back down if you depress
the button on the front of the arm rest.

You may be able to save some $$ purchasing the part from Jerry Rome
Nissan. Check out THIS THREAD . Order with a special maxima.org promo code and get something
like 30% off thru the end of the month.

I'm having a hard time sorting out which part to order to fix my arm rest. It's broken in the same way that seems is typical. Anyone have a part number? How bout a reference number for nissanpartsonline?

What's the trick to getting the shallow part to open? I can raise and lower it and open the large part, but can't figure out the trick to get to the small area??

Can someone help me confirm which part is the one where the front lip breaks off?

I'm thinking I need the part shown here

It is part number 96922MA shown in the lower right corner in this diagram:

Orderd that part number through dave, it was the right one. For future reference the nissan part number on the invoice is 969A0-3y103, description: Lid Inner Console. I paid $20 plus shipping.
