How many Maxima Board members use their car as a DAILY driver??
Daily driven, all day, everyday. I drive around 2000 miles a month. I've done a lot of mods and plan to do a lot more. Personally, I don't see the point in paying $25,000 to $30,000+ for a car that's just going to sit around and collect dust. I will admit that some of the mods get anoying after a while and I've even taken some of them off. Then after a bit, I'll either miss the sound or the feeling that mod gave to to the car and back the mod goes, on the car.
mines daily driven too, sort of, i do have a beater 93 legend that i drive when i go places i dont know or need to leave the max in the open where i dont know, but wheres the fun in driving an older car. But i'm currently debating if i should drive the max only on the weekends....
Nope , no garage queen here!
The Max is meant to be driven, and drive it everyday is what i do. Already have 62,000 miles and loving it. Slightly modded and going to do more, cars are meant to be driven not to be a garage queen!

Daily Driver in the winter/rainy days....Motorcycle in the summer. But with gas prices, looking for a rain suit for my motorcycle. Stupid gas people (Anybody associated with the rather random fluxuations of gas prices)

i just replaced my rear wheel bearings!

Mine's a daily driver. I drive at least 60 miles per week day. I don't have any issues with scraping or with my 19". Atlanta (newer areas I drive) has pretty good roads.
Or I ride the bike....

I drive everywhere in my Max. Suspension is stock, but will be dropping it this weekend with Tein S and Tok Illuminas. I live and work in the city. I can use public tranportation, but I prefer to drive in everyday.
Mine is a DD. Stock right now, but plan on replacing shocks and springs to start in the short term. I'm looking for better handling and performance. I tend to drive pretty agressively. I don't think it will be an issue. If it is, I can always go back.
i can't afford another car so my maxima is my one and only. it was truely love at first sight. driving my 5-speed is too much fun to let it sit in the garage. driving in so cal with the miles paved roads and excellent weather is also a big plus.
No, my 2001 SE Maxima is not my daily driver. I have a 1994 Sentra LE. Then too, I only live 1 mile from work. To date, my Maxima only has 5,966 miles on it, and that's in 3 years of ownership! With gas prices being what they are, I know what I'll be driving more from now on!
My maxima is our daily driver. We have a 36 mile round-trip commute on city streets too.
Except on Tuesdays, when they street clean, I have to drive the integra so I don't get a ticket for it being parked in the way. Hopefully I'll sell the car soon and not have to worry about it anymore. The Max goes in the parking spot, the Chevelle gets the garage and hasn't actually been run in a couple of weeks except moving it in and out of the garage to work on the Max's brakes.

Mine is a daily driver for my small business, only I drive it and bodykit will be on @ the end of the month- w/ no drop or aftermarket wheels- I love the OEM wheels and stock ride
My "poser" stage(driving around lowered w/ bling wheels) passed along time ago- Thats why I bought the Maxima (comfort/power) why would I go back to the things that made me uncomfortable
to drive everyday? Besides they bring more harm than good......

All DD here. No performance mods because if I wanted a sports car I woulda bought one. And no outside show mods because I would like to keep the things that belong to me. Tint and rims makes your car a moving target for thieves (and cops).
Mine's a DD, but mostly city driving. I agree with what others have said. I modded it to make it more enjoyable to drive and look at. It's a great car and needs to be driven and it's so comfortable. Gas mileage isn't that bad IMO.
I drive my Max daily, and I had to go back to stock springs (from Tiens) because the ride was too stiff and the roads I drive on were to rough. The week after I got my Teins, they repaved the main road by my house. They had to tear off the old pavement, and for two weeks driving that road was a nightmare. I actually caught myself driving slower so bumps wouldn't hurt as much. My poor kidneys...
hmmm...dd during summer. weekend driver during school yr mostly. ga tech is pretty hard and the parking isnt safe...i dont need the car distracting me during the weekdays...its 100% school 5 days a week...then party and drive car on weekends
I think a more appropriate question would be: Who's Max is NOT a DD? Who actually buys a Max as a project car? Who packs it away for the winter, and why? I think this thread would be shorter then.
I don't think anyone buys a max with the intent of it NOT being a DD. The only cars you buy with that in mind are sports cars and/or classics, with the exception of some of us Northerners who also have beaters for the winter. But even that I don't really understand. If I wasn't going to drive my car all year 'round, then I wouldn't have gotten a FWD sedan, I would have gotten something a sportier and RWD.

I have an 88 S10 Blazer I drive in winter and in bad weather. Living in the Northeast it has saved my Maxima from so much damage (road salt, snow storms). I have about 15,000 miles on the Max and it's still in mint condition. I drive it mostly in the warmer months.
