Question on sound system

I got a 2K GXE with the "Premium" non-Bose system. As of right now, my cd doesn't work, but everything else works fine. 2 questions:

1) Who makes my HU? Is it Clarion or Pioneer?

2) If it is Clarion, can I buy the Clarion 6-CD changer accesory and have the CD work?

I know I can buy an aftermarket system, but I want to keep the system stock looking.

1. Clarion
2. Yes and no. A clarion changer will probably fit and will work but it will be out of phase. It might be better to buy a US Spec CD changer for the Maxima. Usually the harnesses on the OEM CD changers have reverse polarity on the signals. If they make a harness adaptor for the Clarion to nissan changer then you should be good to go.

Thanks for the info.

One last question, is it possible to install the radio controls on the steering wheel and have them work with the changer, or are the controls only for Bose systems?

I don't think you can. They statred putting radio control in steering wheel in 01 max.
Since you're Dallas, TX you can go pick it up, I heard that courtesy give 25% to maxima.org member.
