Code decode, p1706 p0430

I need some help, the following codes were pulled by local dealer today.

P1706
And
P0430

I believe one of them represents a Cat error, which I replaced about three weeks ago.

The other had something to do with an ECU program error. Does anyone know what this means??? The dealer dude asked me if I had upgraded my ECU to an aftermarket one? I didn't even know they made one.

I own a 2001 se, 5 speed. mileage 110,000 !

Any help will be appreciated.

p.s. I test drove a 2004 auto, didn't care for it. Even as a new car the steering wheel was shaking at 65 miles P/H. Very plastic-like interior trim and very light doors not like the 5th gens.

I'm not sure of a program error, but yes, the P0430 refers to the cat (Bank 2). The other code refers to the parking/safety neutral switch. You may want to check there for any faults or problems. I hope this helps you out any.

P1706 stands for the Park/Neutral Position switch
its either a harness, the switch circuit is open or shorted, or the switch itself is faulty

And p0430 or also p0420, is apparently a flaw in the ECU...i found this out this past week hear on the org..my maxima threw this code and i was told that there is a TSB for this code....call nissan @ 1-800-647-7261 and have them run your vin to see if you fall under the emissions warranty, it might not though with 110,000 on it...i was told it only applies up to 90k...luckily my max does and its getting fixed monday for free.

I also pulled a P0430 code. The dealer said it was from my HKS muffler. They won't touch the car unless I put a factory one back on. Any ideas? My inspection is up later this year and I am worried about emmissions.
