Nice, two questions:

Where did you get all those red caps from, and why did you leave the stock air scoop if your not using the stock air box?

Ya why is that stock air scoop still there? Didnt notice before...

Anyways, like all the red except the "V6 3.5". What did you use for the hoses again? I think you mentioned hose covers from an auto parts store? I was thinking of wrappping my hoses with colored electrical tape, preferably blue. Wondering exactly what you used?

Painted

The caps are the yellow originals, I used Plastic Kote plastic paint for the caps and painted them myself. Just sanded them down a little bit with 400 grit sandpaper to rough them up so the paint would adhere to them. As far as the stock air scoop, I left it there hoping it would actually bring some cooler air into the engine bay assisting the Air Intake!!

looks good man- I was considering getting the AE engine cover and painting it red and black also (to match my intake)......yours looks great, makes me want to do it though the VQ30 cover isn't as big as the VQ35.

I also still have my stock scoop in there even with my intake...working on a way to "repipe" it to dump cooler air out next to the intake filter....

An Idea

I was actually thinking of getting this and somehow setting up the hose so it sits right next to my Intake Filter. Theres just not enough room there to have it wrap around and fit into the opening of my K&N filter. Maybe a way to at least have it as close as possible.

I am not feeling the painted battery cover & tie. It would be nicer if you get the red top Optima battery w/Stillen or SWA's battery tie.

Compliment to the rest of your layout.

Thanks

I just figured for $5 I could save all the money I would have spent on a new battery and a Stillen or SWA Battery Tie for somethings that really could help out the MAX Performance or Handling wise. Not busting on you at all, but a battery tie and optima battery would have set me back over $150, now I can get a Lower Tie Bar and Rear Sway Bar for the MAX for about $200.

You'd made a wise choice in regards to performance mods over the battery. Perhaps when it's time to replace your battery...then think about it. I think the Optima Red will compliment your engine bay quite nicely that's all.

The painted battery is overkill, but everything else is straight

Looks good, hct67. I'll agree with Triple8sol/EvilRoads - the red battery box is a bit too much, but the rest looks great!

Did you use BBQ paint for the cover?

I agree, with the exception of the painted battery case it's looks great. I'm impressed by how detailed and clean the compartment is. What do you use for an engine bay cleaner and what if anything do you cover to protect from water/moisture?

Thanks, and again, very nice!

Cleaning

I use a soft cotton cloth along with air. I blow the engine out and then whatever is left over, I wipe down with a slightly wet cotton cloth to keep it clean.

Looks good but a tad bit over the top too. Especially the red battery and the red VQ 3.5. Should have left that silver. Other than that its tasteful and diffrent.Gives the engine bay a unique look.

Thanks

I will for sure, Plus with the Place racing CAI, A Cattman Y Pipe and Midpip hooked up to the Powertech muffler along with an underdrive pulley and the last thing JETCHIP to finish it off. I am hoping to get about 35HP from all this.
