I was looking around to try to buy some 168 Wedge bulbs for my side lights and I found a place on the net that is selling at a good price. You get free shipping if you buy over $40. Which PIAA's are the closest match to the HIDS

 

I have the Piaa Super Plasma Bulbs and they look pretty good. It has a pink/light purple tint to the white light. I seem to think that they look like HIDs from far away.
If you like a bluish tint then they have a Super Plasma GT-X. But I'm not sure if it comes close to hid.
One thing to know is that you won't have the brightness of HID's but only the look and color would come close.

 

this thread came a little too late for me. lol. i ordered anotehr pair of PIAA xtreme whites from racerwheel for about $55. glad you guys found a cheaper place!

 

Their price is average. Found few other sites with very similar prices.

Yeah I don't think they come close to HIDs. Oh and the GT-X puts out a purple tint like the regular Super Plasmas. If you want a bluish tint, get the Spark Blues...but you'll probably melt your harness.
